To spend quality time together with your family- Orlando, Florida comes to the mind without an effort. Its beauty apart, it is home to the most popular mouse in the world, Mickey Mouse. The town has many parks dedicated to the mouse and his pals. You must have loved Mickey in your childhood and perhaps even today. So go to the lovely and many Disney theme parks and water parks that have made this sleepy town of Florida famous the world over. Plan a complete Disney holiday and stay at one of its themed resorts. Don't worry about the cost; there are packages to suit every budget.

The slogan of Orlando is " The Most Magical Place on Earth". The whole idea of family oriented parks has been built around this concept to make it one of the most popular fun destinations in the world. You have the Neverland of Peter Pan and his friends, the eerie adventure at the Space Mountain. There is something for both adults and kids alike to see in this theme park, what with the puppets singing, " It's a small world after all" or simply shopping on the Main Street, USA.

The newest addition to the Walt Disney World theme parks is the Animal Kingdom. This twist on the traditional zoo is nothing like you have ever seen before! With different sections housing animals native to different continents, go on safari in the park’s African savannah or plunge down a white river rapids in the Asian section. In addition to experiencing tons of rides, attractions, and animals, you can also learn more about different cultures through a variety of shows and educational exhibits at the park.

For the movie buffs wishing a sneak peak of behind the scene action there is the MGM studios. This studio is the exact replica of the actual one, it will take you down to memory lane when you relive your moments watching "Singin' in the Rain" and the "Star Wars" movies. Special effects, great stunts are also showcased on the tour of the park. Other most loved highlights of the park is the show "Fantasmic" where everyone's mouse battles with all sorts of evil creatures like Aladdin's nemesis Jafar and Millicent of "Sleeping Beauty." The "Twilight Zone of Terror" would give you the jitters as you see yourself plunging towards the earth at startling rates.

Remember to stop at the famous "golf ball" and visit Epcot. Epcot is the classic theme park that allows you to travel the world without leaving Orlando. You can learn about countries like China, Mexico, and Norway while you experience the great food and culture of their native peoples. The trip into the past with the dinosaur exhibit will take you back in the Jurassic age. The adults will enjoy this park as they get the chance to test drive the newest model car at the park’s test track.

If you are into water activities, look no further than the two water parks in Orlando, Disney’s Blizzard Beach and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. A visit to the wave pool will certainly bring out the kid in everyone! Blizzard Beach is a ski resort turned water park, with luges and even a ski jump for daring individuals to take the plunge. Typhoon Lagoon is a lush tropical oasis where you can laze down a river, snorkel with the fishes, or even try your hand at body surfing.
